Taking Care of Your Family Member and Yourself
Valley Care Association, Willow Brook Geropsychiatric Unit at Ohio Valley General Hospital, and Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice will present “Taking Care of Your Family Member and Yourself” on May 16, 2012 from 6—7:30 p.m. at the Valley Care Adult Day Services Center, 345 Maplewood Avenue, Ambridge, PA, 15003.
Attendees will learn more about how to handle challenging behaviors related to psychiatric issues and dementia in older adults, as well as coping strategies to protect their own health when faced with caregiving stress.
This free workshop is open to members of the public. Light refreshments will be served and attendees will be entered into a gift basket raffle. Free on-site respite care for older adults is available during the presentation. Please call in advance to discuss your loved one’s needs.
