Franklin Center Holds 20th Annual Arts Festival

This year’s Aliquippa Art and Music Festival marked the 20th year that the event was presented by the Franklin Center of Beaver County.  The festival is the only event of its kind in Beaver County that is solely dedicated to celebrating the arts.

Events were held from September 12th through the 14th, including a parade, an art reception and art exhibit, a literary presentation, and outdoor musical entertainment.  Thirty vendors offered a variety of food, drink, information, and wares to those in attendance and children enjoyed activities including a giant bounce house and slide, face painting and storytelling.  Local, regional and national visual, literary, and performing artists were showcased during the 3-day event; which attracted approximately 1,250 people from Beaver County and beyond.

The Franklin Center would like to thank all of the generous organizations and individuals who sponsored events and artists; especially our corporate sponsor, The Pittsburgh Foundation.  We are looking forward to an even bigger and better event next year when the Franklin Center celebrates its 30th anniversary as a non-profit human service organization in Beaver County.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the 2014 Aliquippa Art & Music Festival!
