Developmental Pediatrics Practice Grows at The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh

The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh welcomes Bethany E. Ziss, MD, and Ashley Dauenhauer, CPNP, as new members of its Developmental Pediatrics team. This highly-regarded practice at The Children’s Institute serves infants, children, and teens with a wide range of developmental-behavioral disorders, including autism spectrum disorders.

“We’re pleased to grow our team so that we can provide outstanding care for even more children with complex developmental needs,” noted Scott Faber, MD, who leads the Developmental Pediatrics team at The Children’s Institute. “Our unique offerings combine the fields of developmental-behavioral pediatrics and neurodevelopmental disabilities with integrative thinking to address the individual needs of each of our patients.”

Prior to moving to Pittsburgh to join The Children’s Institute, Dr. Bethany Ziss most recently served as a fellow and attending physician in developmental and behavioral pediatrics at Greenville Health System in Greenville, South Carolina. She is board certified in General Pediatrics and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and received her MD from Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her pediatric residency at West Virginia University Children’s Hospital.  She serves on the Board of the Alliance for Disability in Health Care Education and is a member of the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.

Relocating from Texas, Ashley Dauenhauer joins the team as a pediatric nurse practitioner. A native of Shreveport, LA, she brings with her clinical experience in primary care pediatrics, developmental pediatrics and pediatric dermatology.
