Healthy Steps for Older Adults Thursday, April 25th 9AM – 12PM The Center is once again holding a program that teaches older adults ways they can prevent harmful falls through safeguarding their homes, proper exercise, and other techniques. Complimentary continental breakfast is provided. Must sign-up by Friday, April 19th .
Garden Days w/Pennsylvania Gladiolus Society Saturday, April 27th 11AM – 4PM Join the Pennsylvania Gladiolus Society for an afternoon of vendors, prizes, raffles, and gladiolus bulbs. Featured speaker, Denise Schreiber, will address attendees at 1:00PM. Admission is free!
Mountaineer Casino Trip Monday, April 29th 8:30AM – 4PM Bus departs from the former Macy’s Parking Lot at 8:30AM and is expected to return around 4PM. Cost is $30/person including $25 in play money. Please purchase tickets in advance at the Center.
Lunch and Learn (Stop Pre-Diabetes w/Heritage Valley Health System) Monday, April 29th 12 – 1PM Erika Sheffield (Registered Dietitian & Registered Nurse) will be in to discuss warning signs for pre-diabetes and steps you can take to manage it. Suggested donation of $3 for ages 60+/$6 charge for ages 59 and under. Includes lunch and special dessert. Sign up in the Congregate Area.
7 th Annual Juried Art Exhibition May 2nd, 3rd, & 4th The Center is delighted to highlight the talent and hard work of our local artists. We welcome artists of all ages to submit their art. Cost is $6/piece or 5 pieces for $25. All art must be submitted by Tuesday, April 30th. Artist’s Reception and judging to occur at 11AM Thursday, May 2nd .
