Anchorpoint Counseling Ministry Takes on Suicidal Thinking

Do not harm yourself, for we are all here. – Acts 16:29
National Suicide Prevention Hotline: 800-273-8255
There has been much sad news in the local and national media regarding suicide. But, there is hope and you can help. You can become equipped to intervene to offer hope, healing, and aspirations of a healthy future for those with suicidal thinking.
We would like to share the following ways for you to make a positive difference…
1. Learn More about ministering to those with suicidal thinking.  Read a few of our suggestions here.
2. Join us for the Walk for Hope on Sunday, September 17.
The Cranberry Rotary is hosting this event to raise awareness for suicide prevention. The Rotary says, “It is too often that we hear about people ending their lives because they see no other way out. Help be a light to guide them out of the darkness. Let’s stand together, speak up and save as many lives in our community as possible.” Proceeds from the walk will be donated to prevention programs at Anchorpoint, The Butler VA, and Active Minds.  We hope you can join us. For more information and to register, click here.
3. Do you need to talk with somebody? A compassionate counselor is available to listen to your story, teach you coping skills, and help you create a plan. If you are worried about or your heart is broken over the death of a loved one, we are here for you too. Call 412-366-1300 to schedule an appointment and begin the process of hope and healing.
