8th Annual Jazz on the Hillside

Schenley Heights Community Development Program Supporting the Needs of Children in Pittsburgh Summer is almost here and it is almost time for our Annual Jazz on the Hillside fundraising event.  The date for this year’s event is Friday, June 22 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., on the lawn of the Schenley Heights Community Development Program Multi-Purpose Center, 3171 Ewart Drive.  The rain location will be Milliones University Prep School.Please join us for an enjoyable evening of listening to the sounds of Pittsburgh’s greatest jazz artists. Tickets are now available for purchase for a donation of $35.00 of great food and wonderful entertainment.  Proceeds from this event support various Schenley Heights Community Development Programs including:

  • After School Tutorial Enrichment Program (A-STEP)
  •  Summer Enrichment Program (SEP)
  • NADIA track and field program
  • Project LEARNS at Weil Elementary School
  • Community LEARNS at Schenley High School
  • Parent support groups
  • Early childhood classrooms

Schenley Heights Community Development Program (SHCDP)  mission is to nurture, support and develop our community through wholesome programs that address the academic, moral, cultural, health and recreational needs of our children , youth and their families in the Hill District and metropolitan Pittsburgh. SHCDP empowers the children of the Hill District and their families to develop skills and attitudes for finding meaning in their lives, by providing an alternative to crime and other socially destructive behaviors. In an effort to support our various programs, we provide various events throughout the year.
