Youth Volunteers Giving Back to North Side Community

Pittsburgh Cares Youth Engaged in Service team is once again working with our North Side agency partners for a 3rd year welcoming groups of youth volunteers (ages 13-17) accompanied by adults to several service sites on one or several days during the week of March 5, 2012 for a day(s) of service.

FISH (Fellowship in Senior High) from the State College region of Pennsylvania region is coming to Pittsburgh again this year for a week of service.  FISH is partnering with Pittsburgh Cares to place approximately 60 youth and 20 adult volunteers in service opportunities.  FISH is a youth program of the State College Presbyterian Church (in State College).  This group has a vast array of skills and experience in mission trips and volunteering.  Last year was their second year volunteering in Pittsburgh and they absolutely enjoyed themselves so much over the past 2 years that they are coming back for a third year to volunteer for a week giving back to the North Side community.  They will be staying at the Community House Presbyterian Church for one week while volunteering in the North Side of Pittsburgh.
