Youth-Law Enforcement Relations Forum

Our Mission: To provide leadership in our schools and communities in the area of youth affairs

The Youth Ambassadors is extending an invitation to you to attend an upcoming youth-law enforcement relations forum. The purpose of the forum is to facilitate a police-youth dialogue about critical issues affecting our Beaver County communities.  Topics for discussion are community and police relations, trust, relationship enhancement, and codes of silence.

This event, sponsored by the Franklin Center of Beaver County’s Aliquippa Council of Men and Fathers, Beaver County Rehabilitation Center, and Aliquippa Weed and Seed, will be facilitated by clinical psychologist, Michael Lindsey of Nestor Consultants, Inc., Dallas, Texas.  Dr. Lindsey’s credentials include extensive experience in community, youth and law enforcement relations.

During the forum there will be both joint and breakout sessions for frank discussion. Please note ahead of time, that with the exception of law enforcement, adults will participate mainly in a listening capacity.

We are looking forward to your presence Beaver Falls High School on Saturday November 12, 2011 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 pm.  Registration begins at 9:00 a.m.  Continental breakfast and refreshments will be provided and there is no cost to attend.

For more information, contact Shon Owens via e-mail sowens@aaud.org or at (724) 378-2882.  We are hoping that you will support our efforts
