Your Invited to a ReuseFest at South Side Works

SAVE THE DATE! – ReuseFest is August 11. Did you finish your spring cleaning and end up with a lot of “stuff” you no longer need, use or want? DON’T TOSS IT IN THE TRASH! Bring it all to ReuseFest on Saturday, August 11, from 10 a.m. to2 p.m., South Side Works, and give your unwanted items a second life while benefiting the environment and supporting local non-profits!

ReuseFest is a one-day collection & educational event focused on the importance of material reuse. It is an outgrowth of the Pennsylvania Resources Council’s popular Hard-to-Recycle Collections. Local organizations including Global Links, Construction Junction, Off the Floor, Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse, Goodwill, FreeRide, The Pittsburgh Tote Bag Project, and Animal Rescue League Shelter & Wildlife Center, will be on-site to collect: – gently used furniture & medical supplies – bikes, bike parts & tools – art & craft supplies and school & office supplies – pet carriers, blankets, canned fruits & veggies – tote bags, backpacks, gym bags, soft briefcases – clothing, shoes, books, house ware items – building material and so much more.
