Washington City Mission Understands the Value of Volunteers

Volunteer, Florine Casciola, recently started volunteering on a regular schedule in the Feed My Sheep Dining Room at City Mission. Florine has a huge heart for the homeless and not only serves in the kitchen but also has been a long standing participant in the annual Ladies Golf Scramble that benefits City Mission.

Volunteer, Petro Esterhuizen volunteers regularly in the Feed My Sheep Dining Room, too. Petro first got involved as a volunteer in the administrative building and quickly knew she wanted more resident interaction, and that’s when she made the switch to the kitchen. Not only does Petro serve meals, but she also conducts a Women’s Bible Study for the women of Avis Arbor.

There are many different ways in which you can get involved at City Mission. From volunteering, participating in events or financially giving there is something at the Mission for you! Please contact Volunteer Manager, Sue Gartland for more information on volunteering or Maria Stockman, Event/Marketing Manager for information about upcoming events.
