Open Your Heart to a Senior Orientations to be Held for Interested Volunteers

Open Your Heart to a Senior is holding volunteer orientations throughout greater Allegheny County in July and August. Volunteers can help by providing transportation to medical appointments and grocery shopping, telephone reassurance calls, friendly home visits, yard work and simple home repairs. Each session will provide general information on volunteer opportunities at AGEWELL, Blind and Vision Rehabilitation, Centers for Healthy Hearts and Souls, Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers, Lutheran Service Society’s Meals on Wheels program and North Hills Community Outreach’s Faith in Actionprogram.
