  • North Hills Community Outreach is seeking volunteer drivers and dispatchers for their Free Rides for Seniors shuttle that provides free transportation to anyone over age 60 along Freeport Road on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Contact Kerry Mulhern at 412-449-0151 for more information.

Miniature Golf Tournament Registration Underway

North Hills Community Outreach’s 11th Annual Mini-Masters Miniature Golf Tournament will take place on May 17 at RMU Island Sports Center on Neville Island. Tickets are $45 per person or $175 per foursome and include a round of miniature golf, buffet dinner and silent auction. Vince Sims of WPXI-TV will serve as the event emcee.  NHCO Seeking Volunteer Financial and Employment Coaches

North Hills Community Outreach is seeking financial coaches to work one-on-one with individuals to develop and improve financial management and behaviors and employment coaches to meet with individuals to guide their job searches by providing help with job search techniques, resume writing and interview preparation. NHCO Seeking Lawn Service Volunteers for Area Seniors

North Hills Community Outreach needs volunteers to provide lawn care services to area seniors throughout the spring and summer months in conjunction with NHCO’s Open Your Heart to a Senior program. Open Volunteer Hours Slated for NHCO Garden

North Hills Community Outreach’s organic, community garden at 119 Davis Ave in Bellevue is open to volunteers of all ages from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday. For more information, contact Dave at 412-487-6316, opt. 1.

Free Home Repairs Available to Qualified Individuals

North Hills Community Outreach is partnering with Christ Lutheran Church to provide minor home repairs this summer to qualified seniors and low income adults with physical disabilities. The repair projects will be completed by youth volunteers June 24 to 29. Seniors or adults with physical disabilities who wish to receive home repairs should own and reside in a home in northern Allegheny County, require assistance with small projects such as painting, insulating, minor roofing and concrete pairs and be able to provide materials to be used in your home if possible.
