Animal Friends would like you to meet Vannah, an American Pit Bull Terrier.
Vannah, one of our V Pits, is a shy little girl that is trying very hard to come out of her shell. She really wants to be social and we found that she is more comfortable with people if they are sitting on the floor. Once you’re on her level, she relaxes and can be affectionate and will come over to ask for a pat or two.
Vannah seems to love other dogs, and has recently learned how to play with toys, as she had never had any! Watching her jump and bounce around with a stuffed toy never ceases to put a smile on our volunteers faces!
Right now she is still getting settled, and she’s a nervous dog and can startle easily. We think that Vannah would do best in a low-key, calm household with older children. She’s really looking for someone to be patient with her and who isn’t afraid to get down on the floor with her. Do you think you can provide the gentle care that Vannah needs?
