Using Humor to Manage Stress of Caregiving

Laughter is the Best Medicine

Free workshop for family caregivers

Valley Care Association, Arden Courts, and Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice will present “Laughter is the Best Medicine: Using Humor to Manage the Stress of Caregiving” on September 15, 2011 from 6—7:30 p.m. at the Valley Care Adult Day Services Center, 345 Maplewood Avenue, Ambridge, PA, 15003.

Jeff Esper will be the evening’s speaker. Mr. Esper’s hilarious and heartwarming presentation will inspire attendees to use laughter to lighten the burdens of caring for an older loved one.

He is a three-time semi-finalist in the World Championship of Public Speaking, as well as the reigning District 13 International Speech Champion for Toastmasters International. He has given talks for Consol Energy, Heinz, Westinghouse, U.S. Steel, and the Allegheny County Department of Human Services.

This free workshop is open to members of the public. Light refreshments will be served and attendees will be entered into a gift basket raffle. Free on-site respite care for older adults is available during the presentation. Please call in advance to discuss your loved one’s needs.
