NHCO Collecting School Supplies

Through July 31, North Hills Community Outreach is collecting new backpacks and school supplies for distribution to low-income children in grades K-12. Items needed include backpacks (large ones for older kids are especially needed), pencils, rulers, scissors, crayons, markers, notebooks and folders. For more information, click to continue

Focus On Renewal (FOR) is pleased to announce two recent grants. The nonprofit social service agency was awarded $260,000 from the Richard King Mellon Foundation and $135,000 from The Heinz Endowments

The Richard King Mellon Foundation grant is for operational support, as well as a new arts program for the children who attend the Mooncrest After School Program. Once a month, 36 youth travel from Moon Township to the Father Ryan Arts Center for arts experiences in pottery, drum circles and dance.  click to continue
