Partners For Quality (PFQ) is one of 72 organizations participating in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community. This annual fundraiser is presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield which underwrites the cost of the walk so participating organizations keep 100 percent of the money raised by their walkers.
The 2016 Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community will be held Saturday, May 14 at Stage AE on the North Shore. Walk registration is at 7:45 a.m. The 5K walk begins at 9 a.m. while the one-mile fun walk starts at 9:15 a.m. After the walk, Highmark provides refreshments, prizes, activities and live entertainment for the participants.
Eric Lindey, Partners For Quality CEO said, “We’re proud to participate in the Highmark Walk for the second year. This fun family event is a great team building event for staff and people supported and raises funds for our newly established Dream Fund to help people with intellectual disabilities served by Citizen Care realize their hopes and dreams. After the walk, PFQ participants are invited to a picnic and outdoor games at the PFQ Corporate Office.”
