Sisters Place, Inc. Receives HUD Funding to Help Homeless Families

Sisters Place, Inc. is excited to announce that HUD has awarded funding to support an additional five new homeless, single parent families.  The Day Light Housing Program is set to accept five new families beginning in August 2011 and will bring the total number of families served by Sisters Place each day to 32.

Sisters Place is a supportive housing community committed to assisting single parent families who are homeless in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Located in Clairton, PA, our mission is to assist families toward self-sufficiency by providing housing and supportive services.  Since 1997, more than 200 families have received housing and supportive services in our transitional and permanent programs.  In January we enrolled our first “father” into the Sisters Place family.  He and his son have thrived and are doing well with the support of our case managers and support staff.
