RSVP Honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. With Days of Service

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration “Serving Others”

RSVP will be joining with hundreds of thousands of Americans across the country and locally in making this holiday a day ON, not a day off by serving others. This celebration will be marked with two events, the first on Saturday, January 19 and the second on Monday, January 21, 2013. Saturday, January 19, 2013 Volunteers will be making hygiene kits at the Broadcast Street Café at 464 Franklin Avenue, Aliquippa. These kits are designed to help the homeless and others in need. Today there are more homeless people living in America than ever before. It may be surprising but many of these people look and act just like you and me. Some suffer from mental illness and other from addiction. With that in mind, these hygiene kits are important not only for their health but for their self-esteem. Volunteers are welcome tomorrow from 10- 2 p.m. to help sort and stuff hygiene kits. Are you interested in volunteering?   Do you have some new hygiene products that you would like to donate? Any and all are welcome. The Hygiene Kits will be an ongoing project for RSVP.  So, if you have any of the following items, please feel free to donate them anytime:
