More than 300 people attended the eventincluding Honorary Chair and Emcee, Bill Smitrovich. Smitrovich is a television and film actor best known for his work as the father on the television series, “Life Goes On.” More recently, he’s appeared in films such as TEDThe Rum DiarySeven Pounds and Iron Man. His mother-in-law is a resident at Redstone. “Redstone has a rich history of providing services to those entrusted in our care.  Since our beginning, Redstone has had the ability to provide benevolent care to residents, who, through no fault of their own, could no longer pay for their care,” said John Dickson, president and CEO of Redstone Highlands.  “Thanks to the generosity of donors in the greater communities we serve, we look forward to continuing this wonderful tradition as we continue to build our Benevolent Care Fund.” Guests were given the opportunity to participate in a live and silent auction and one lucky person received a trip for two to Scotland. Since its first Gala in 2002, more than $329,000 has been raised for the fund and approximately 65 residents across Redstone’s three campuses are currently receiving support.   About Redstone Highlands Senior Living Communities Redstone Highlands is a Christian, non-profit continuing care retirement community (CCRC) with campuses in Greensburg, Murrysville, and North Huntingdon, including Redstone Colonial Estates, a villa home community, at its North Huntingdon location.
