Old Economy Village Holds a Special Holiday Event

On Saturday and Sunday, December 8 and 9. Old Economy Village will be holding their annual Christmas at the Village.  On Saturday Old Economy Village will be open from 2-9 and Sunday 2-7.  The cost is only $12 for adults and $6.00 for children ages 3 -12.  Children under age 3 are free. For members of the Friends of Old Economy village, this event is free. Tour our decorated 19th Century village where the pathways are lit by lantern light, witness the lighting of our Christmas tree on the cobblestone street, sing traditional Christmas carols and shop for unique gifts created by traditional craftsmen at our Weihnachts Market. There will be musical performances by area choirs and hands on activities for kids as well as free carriage rides.  Belsnickel will be in town to speak with the children and check his book to see if they have been naughty or nice. Enjoy homemade apple strudel and hot spiced cider.  On Saturday, Saint John’s Lutheran Church will be serving delicious homemade German food in the original house of worship of the Harmony Society.  Tours of the historic church building will be conducted both days.
