Safety for Seniors Volunteers Needed North Hills Community Outreach’s Open Your Heart to a Senior program is looking for volunteers to perform safety checks and senior citizens, who need a home safety check. Safety checks consist of installing smoke alarms and other safety measures such as nightlights, bath mats and flashlights and well as providing basic home safety information. Squonk Opera Plans Special Performance at North Hills Community Outreach’s Garden Squonk Opera, a Pittsburgh-based music and multimedia ensemble, will perform their GO Roadshow at North Hills Community Outreach’s Rosalinda Sauro Sirianni Garden at 119 Davis Ave. in Bellevue on August 26 at 7 p.m. The concert is free with a suggested donation of $5. All donations will benefit NHCO. Car Donations Needed There are nearly 25 low-income families on the waiting list for a car from North Hills Community Outreach’s Community Auto program. The program is looking for vehicle donations that will help low-income individuals get to work and provide transportation for their families.
