Join Zonta for an evening of grazing, dancing and shopping!
Zonta Three Rivers Pittsburgh North, a professional women’s service organization, announced that it will present The Ninth Annual Glass Slipper Ball Featuring the Best of the Chefs and Libation Purveyors, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 7 p.m. at the Four Points Sheraton in Marshall Township.
With Celebrity Master of Ceremonies, KDKA-TV News Anchor, Jennifer Antkowiak, the Glass Slipper Ball featuring the Best of the Chefs and Libation Purveyors, is one of North Pittsburgh’s largest and most popular fundraisers. To date, the event has generated $375,000 for scholarships that are distributed through the Zonta Pittsburgh North Foundation to agencies such as Crisis Center North, HEARTH, POWER, Girls Hope, and North Hills Community Outreach.
“The evening surprises most first time guests because they are so busy grazing, dancing, and shopping, they barely sit down!” says Cindy Yingling, event co-chair.
The 2012 event will showcase dozens of restaurants whose chefs create signature hors d’oeuvres and desserts designed specifically for this event. Also featured are tastings from libation purveyors including: Arrowhead Wine Cellars at Soergel Orchard, D’Andrea Imports, Fuhrer Wholesale, Southern Wine and Spirits and The Wine Boss.
Restaurants on board to participate in 2012 include: The Baklava Company, Bartram House Bakery, Beattie Tech Culinary School, Bella Frutteto, China Palace, Chocolate Fountain Heaven, Donato’s, Erin’s Fine Foods, Four Points Sheraton, Franklin Inn, Fresco’s, Giant Eagle Market District, Hartwood Restaurant, Hotel Saxonburg, John Marshall Catering, KeyImpact, The Perfect Pastry, Shakespeare’s, SiBA Cucina, Springfield Grille, SweetHouse Bake Shop, Tamari North, Ugandan Gold Coffee, Walnut Grove.
Amidst the sampling and tasting, guests will dance to the sounds of Airborne featuring Jeff Jimerson; bid on spectacular silent auction items; and take part in the “Peoples Choice Awards” for best hors d’oeuvre and dessert. A highlight of the evening is a LIVE AUCTION with dazzling trips to San Francisco Wine Country, France/Belgium, the Greek Isles, China, Tuscany and Much More!
