Miracle League Supporters Can Run to Benefit Inclusive Playgorund

The Miracle League of the South Hills has teamed up with the Pittsburgh Marathon to raise money for a new inclusive playground to be built at the site of the Miracle League Field of the South Hills. Here’s how it works: Each runner commits to a fundraising minimum. The Miracle League pays their registration, they just commit to getting family and friends to help them hit their fundraising goal. All money raised will benefit an inclusive playground that will be constructed in 2014! Dates: May 4, 2013 (Kids Marathon and 5k) May 5, 2013 (Relay, Half, Full) Events: Participants can choose one of the following events to run.

  • The “Kids Marathon” (1 mile)
  • 5 km (3.1 miles)
  • Relay (3-5 team member) Half or Full Marathon
  • Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
  • Full Marathon (26.2 miles)

To sign up visit:  http://www.crowdrise.com/teamcaseysclubhouse/fundraiser/caseysclubhouse Don’t feel up to running? Then volunteer! We need some volunteers (ages 9 and up) to volunteer at the Finish Line of the Dick’s Sporting Goods Marathon from 6 a.m. Until 2 p.m. Race day. Anyone interested should contact Maura Rodgers at (info@caseysclubhouse.org). Need a little extra motivation to find those running shoes? See how your miles equal miracles!
