Meet Ulysses a Very Special Dog

Ulysses is one of our lucky dogs who came to us from an unlucky situation. Ulysses came into Animal Friends

through our Humane Investigations Department. He was emaciated, lethargic and stressed. We had to perform surgery to remove a foreign body from his stomach. It ended up being a baby’s pacifier.

Through slow feedings and the loving care of the volunteers and staff we were able to bring Ulysses back to acting like a happy and healthy dog. Due to his rough past Ulysses is in need of an adult only home to practice his good behaviors with his possessions. He is a food and resource guarder. He needs to be in a positive training home to work with him and to show that the world is not a scary place.

Ulysses would like to be the only animal in the home, no other dogs or cats. He is a wonderful boy looking for a second chance in a real home. If you think you can offer him love and affection please come and meet him.

Someone believes in Ulysses so much that they have sponsored his adoption! He truly is priceless!

This animal was lovingly named by the students from Pine-Richland Middle School via our Kind Kids program.
