Bethlehem Haven presents Helping Women Helps the World Speaker Series
You won’t want to miss the first lecture in the second annual Helping Women Helps the World Speaker Series. This series was designed to bring women together to meet and be inspired by the personal stories of some of the most dynamic leaders in our community. Last year’s attendees were all very pleased with the series, and we have an exciting lineup of speakers planned for this coming year.
Our first speaker is Suzie McConnell-Serio, the head coach for women’s basketball at Duquesne University and one of the most highly-decorated players in the history of women’s basketball. This Pittsburgh native established herself as a standout from her early years, leading many women’s basketball teams to championship as both a player and a coach, and taking that winning spirit internationally to bring home Olympic gold in 1988 and Olympic bronze in 1992.
The event takes place at the Fairmont Pittsburgh, with networking at 11:30 and the lecture at noon. Tickets are $25 each and include lunch. Proceeds from the series benefit Bethlehem Haven, a nonprofit organization helping homeless women in the Pittsburgh area to regain self-sufficiency and rebuild their lives. See you there!
