Here are some great ways that you can serve in and around Pittsburgh this month to help celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Jan. 21):
SPECIAL EVENT: Volunteer Speed Dating
Hosted by Pittsburgh Cares & PUMP
This fun event will match young professionals and prospective volunteers with great Pittsburgh nonprofits looking for more people to donate some time, knowledge or skills. Must be 21 or older to attend.
Wednesday, Jan. 16. 6pm – 8pm. Spots are limited, so register here today.
To be held at the Pittsburgh Public Market in the Strip District. Pre-registration is FREE, but it’s $5 at the door.
YOUTH EDUCATION: Help Prepare for School Supplies Distribution (West End)
Agency: The Education Partnership
The Education Partnership needs your help sorting and stocking supplies that will be distributed to local schools later this month.

SENIOR CARE: MLK Valentines for Seniors (Allison Park)
Agency: North Hills Community Outreach
Serve local seniors in honor of Martin Luther King Day. Volunteers will be making valentines for area seniors during this fun family-friendly project.
