In other news, Focus On Renewal is pleased to announce a $50,000 grant from The Heinz Endowments. As a social service agency, we will use the funds to purchase computers and Waterford literacy software for the Positive Parenting Program. As part of the program, FOR operates three kindergarten-readiness preschools for children ages 3-5 in the Sto-Rox community. The Positive Parenting Program prepares children to succeed in school and helps their parents develop the knowledge and skills to build stronger families.
Father Regis Ryan, executive director of Focus On Renewal said “The Heinz Endowments have been exceptionally generous to Focus On Renewal for decades. It is hard to estimate the value which their grants have brought to the children of this neighborhood.”
The Heinz Endowments supports efforts to make southwestern Pennsylvania a premier place to live and work, a center for learning and educational excellence, and a region that embraces diversity and inclusion.
Celebrating 40 years of service, Focus on Renewal is a human service agency located in McKees Rocks. For more information, please call 412-771-6460 or visit www.forstorox.org.
