LCCAP Offers a Free Program to Provide Transportation Information

Lawrence County Community Action Partnership has started a program called Regional Employment Transportation Coordination.  This free information service is open to everyone in Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, and Mercer counties.  There are no eligibility requirements, so don’t hesitate to call us if you are having a problem finding appropriate transportation.  The number is 724-658-7258, ext. 1410, or toll-free at 1-888-252-5104. Our main interest is in helping job seekers and employed individuals find the best transportation to get to a job site, but we will gladly try to help anyone with any transportation question.  We are also willing to take the time to do all we can to help people with special needs find appropriate transportation.  Of course we can’t solve every problem but we just might be able to provide you with some information that will help.  We have information on all types of transportation services, such as bus routes, carpools, vanpools, shared ride services, taxis, shuttles, and volunteer drivers. And we can also help you find various transportation assistance programs such as those that provide reduced fares for persons with disabilities, or those that subsidize transportation costs to work, or provide child care transportation between daycare and school, or to medical appointments, or even programs that will help you repair your car or purchase another one so you can get to work. If needed, we are also available to visit your agency or business, or we can meet with clients in person at the PA CareerLink offices in each county in our service area.  This program is administered by Allied Coordinated Transportation Services, Inc. and Lawrence County Community Action Partnership.
