Have you ever stopped to think about what would happen if there were no firemen in your community? Imagine the lives and property that would be lost if men and women did not step up to be part of the fire department. What about the policemen? What if there was no organization like the American Red Cross when a disaster strikes, who would be there to help? Our world is a dangerous place, but imagine the chaos that would ensue if there were no police to keep things under control. Some of you may remember when there was no 911, but can you even imagine if there were no paramedics to help in times of an accident or crisis? These are all things many of us simply take for granted.
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) along with the Franklin Center of Beaver County, Inc. wants to make sure that these men and women know just how much they are appreciated!
Please stop in the Center at the Mall (Inside Beaver Valley Mall) on Friday, 9/11/2015 from 10:00 A.M.—12:00 P.M. to give a big thank you for our Beaver County First Responders!
You will have an opportunity to meet and thank some of the brave men and women who put themselves in harm’s way to keep our communities safe, respond to disaster and minimize the effects of crisis.
There is no charge to participate in this event! It is simply an opportunity to show our gratitude and support!
What to expect:
- You will be introduced and have an opportunity to thank some of the key contributors to Beaver County’s ‘first response teams’
- Citations will be presented from a number of legislators
- Light refreshments will be available
