Focus On Renewal (FOR) announced the appointment of Cynthia L. Haines as Executive Director. She started October 1, replacing Greg Quinlan, who relocated to Harrisburg in July.
“I’m elated about the opportunity to work with an innovative community provider organization like Focus On Renewal,” Ms. Haines said. “I‘m looking forward to maximizing public-private partnerships to forge community alliances, coalitions and collaborations.”
Cynthia comes to FOR with a wealth of knowledge and extensive background as a community-centered strategist with expertise in grant writing, capacity building and organizational development. She has more than 20 years of experience assisting non-profit and for-profit organizations thrive and grow. Cynthia plans to continue her focus on helping the most vulnerable and at-risk in the Sto-Rox community and surrounding areas. She is an advocate for personal empowerment, service-based leadership and social entrepreneurship.
Ms. Haines has a master’s degree in social science administration from Case Western Reserve University, a bachelor’s degree from Mercyhurst University and a post-graduate executive leadership certificate in community building from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
