Father Ryan Arts Center Kicks Off Fifth Annual African-American Art Exhibit

This FRIDAY at 5pm we’re kicking off our fifth annual African-American Celebration of the Arts at the Father Ryan Arts Center with a free gallery opening.  At 7pm we’re hosting an open discussion in the Baverso theater where artists and guests are encouraged to converse about this year’s theme, “Black Lives Matter,” and how that relates to the artwork and the audience.
Featuring the artwork of:

Keith “Pizza” Smith
Julius Lyles
Pouchon
Kevin McFarlane
Barb Owens
Willie Dawson
Naomi Walker
and more…

If you can’t make it to the gallery opening, you’ll be able to visit the gallery during the Father Ryan Arts Center’s regular hours of operation through March 6.

Also, come join us on February 15. We’re hosting the Celebration of the Arts, with musical guests, performances, soul food and caribbean style food vendors, art vendors and more.
