Volunteers Needed at Emergency Men’s Shelter

Currently, male volunteers are needed at the Crossroads severe weather shelter for homeless men to help staff the shelter from 7 PM until 7AM.  At all times there must be teams of at least two with at least one of the other two team members being male.  So every night the shelter is open we need volunteers.  Training will be provided.

If you think you fit the profile of a person who can be available to spend time with men who have nowhere else to go, and would like to be an active part of this ministry, we want to hear from you.   To Volunteer, call Jim at 724 -480-6667 or Maureen Morelli-Shelter Coordinator at 724-417-1436.

More Volunteer Opportunities

There a many more volunteer opportunities available through the RSVP volunteer program.  Examples include drivers, mentors, tutors, and administrative helpers.

If you would like to learn more about any of these topics, please call us at 724-378-7547 or e-mail vmcelvy@franklincenter.org.

The staff of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program would like to take this opportunity to wish you a safe, happy and healthy holiday season!
