St. Paul’s Players Present “The Ransom of Miss Elverna Dower” The St. Paul’s Players will present Laurie Bryant’s comedy “The Ransom of Miss Elverna Dower” on June 12 to 16 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church at 1965 Ferguson Road in Allison Park. June 13 and 14 performances will benefit North Hills Community Outreach. Tickets are $22 and include admission, an endless dessert, cheese and fruit buffet and a silent auction. Open Volunteer Hours Slated for NHCO Garden North Hills Community Outreach’s organic, community garden at 119 Davis Ave in Bellevue is open to volunteers of all ages from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday. For more information, contact Dave at 412-487-6316, opt. 2.

NHCO Collecting School Supplies for Families in Need North Hills Community Outreach is collecting new backpacks and school supplies for distribution to low-income children in all grades including college through July 31. Items needed include new backpacks including larger ones for older children, pencils, rulers, scissors, crayons, markers, colored pencils, notebooks and folders. Car Donations Needed North Hills Community Outreach’s Community Auto program is looking for vehicle donations that will help low-income individuals get to work and provide transportation for their families. NHCO Seeking Volunteer Financial and Employment Coaches North Hills Community Outreach is seeking financial coaches to work one-on-one with individuals to develop and improve financial management and behaviors and employment coaches to meet with individuals to guide their job searches by providing help with job search techniques, resume writing and interview preparation. Volunteer Opportunities at NHCO

  • North Hills Community Outreach is in need of volunteer computer trainers. Volunteers can use computer knowledge to help individuals build their computer literacy skills, increasing their employment prospects. Trainers must be empathetic, have good interpersonal skills and be proficient in Windows as well as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
