Circle of Hope Honors Lisa Peters of BNY Mellon

Pennsylvania Women Work’s 11th annual Circle of Hope Awards will honor Lisa Peters, Chief Human Resources Officer of BNY Mellon, for the company’s continued support of Pennsylvania Women Work. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 19th, 2011 at the Omni William Penn Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. The event will also be honoring three past program graduates who will share their stories of triumph.

The event will include a light buffet dinner, drinks, a silent auction, a basket raffle, and live music by Martini Jazz. Among the silent auction items will be an autographed Sidney Crosby jersey; fine jewelry; gift certificates for restaurants around the city; theater, ballet, and opera tickets; college and professional sports memorabilia and much more. The basket raffle will feature several themed prizes.

This year’s Circle of Hope Awards honorary event chair is Diane Holder, CEO of UPMC Health Plan.

The proceeds from the Circle of Hope Awards will benefit the Pennsylvania Women Work programs. Tickets are available for $75 until October 5th, 2011.

Pennsylvania Women Work is a strong advocate for educational and economic equity among all people. Over the past two decades, PAWW and its 19 member New Choices programs across the Commonwealth have helped 168,000 women in transition to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Services include career development classes, skills training, transportation and childcare assistance, clothing closets, individual personal and career counseling, as well as job placement and supported retention.
