The Woodlands hosted its first Block Party on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at their 52 acre campus in Wexford. This brand new event featured live entertainment by Good Brother Earl, games, a raffle featuring Beer Baskets, tickets and passes to area events, Steelers’ autographed gear, and more. A variety of foods and desserts from Pittsburgh food trucks such as Burgh Bites Cart, Bella Christie, and other favorites were also included in the $35 ticket.  Menu items included selections such as Oh My Grill’s “Wine & Cheese’ Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and “The Usual” with buffalo chicken breast topped with Monterey jack and cheddar cheese with beer provided by The Brew Gentlemen Beer Company.

It is the mission of The Woodlands to enrich the lives of children and adults with disability and chronic illness by providing adapted therapeutic programs that support and strengthen the development of skills in socialization, creative expression, environmental awareness, recreation, and spirituality at its fully-accessible facility.  Further information and a schedule of programming are available at www.MyWoodlands.org
