Catholic Charities Provides Numerous Social Services

Catholic Charities is the primary social service agencyCatholic Charities of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, serving all regardless of religious affiliation in their time of greatest need. With offices in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Greene, Lawrence and Washington counties, Catholic Charities provides programs and services that include adoption, counseling, safety net and stability services, health care for the uninsured, housing and homeless assistance, pregnancy and parenting support, refugee and senior services.

Our mission is to serve with excellence, professionalism, integrity and compassion, the human needs of individuals and families, regardless of their religious affiliation, and to provide leadership in mobilizing the resources of parishes and the wider community in addressing these needs. Catholic Charities’ programs and services are available to those who live within the six counties of the Diocese—Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Greene, Lawrence and Washington.

Adoption Orientation Sessions

Opening your heart and home to a child can be one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things you’ll ever do. Catholic Charities helps place infants, children and youth, including those with special needs. We also handle international adoptions.

Catholic Charities has an excellent reputation in the region for confidential and professional service to prospective parents. We help adoptive families through the process with support services, parental counseling and training.

Open to anyone wanting to learn more about the adoption process through Catholic Charities.
