Join the Seed Exchange on Seed-Saving Saturday

The Sisters of St. Joseph will host Seed-Saving Saturday on November 3, 2012, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Motherhouse Activities Building in Baden. Participants are invited to bring vegetable or flower seeds to exchange with neighbors and enjoy a presentation by Doug Oster, co-host of the popular radio show The Organic Gardeners on KDKA radio every Sunday morning. Doug will share tips for ‘what you can do now to have your best garden ever!’ Visit www.stjoseph-baden.org for seed-saving tips and exchange guidelines from Sister Lyn Szymkiewicz, Director of Grounds and Eco-Projects. Sister Lyn works with local farmers, school children and community groups to foster environmental education, conservation and sustainability on the 88-acre Motherhouse property.
