Although we greatly appreciate all the donations, one in particular stands out. Margie Rose and Daniel McCaffrey played “Santa” to the children who attend Butterfly Garden (FOR’s child care center) by organizing a toy drive. The couple traveled to New York City to purchase 200 toys, but ended up buying 360 gifts, which had to be shipped back to their Windgap home. Then they invited friends and family members to their house for a six-hour wrapping party.
On a cold, snowy day in mid-December, Margie and Daniel, accompanied by Joyce Mays, Angela Derringer and Mona Sarhangi, delivered the presents to Butterfly Garden, much to the delight of the boys and girls.
On behalf of Focus On Renewal and Butterfly Garden Early Learning Center, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Margie and her elves. Their unselfish acts brought joy to many local children and their families.
Sincerely,
Fr. Regis J. Ryan
