Big Brothers Big Sisters Celebrates a Successful Summer

Start Something Summer Series

Our 2011 Start Something Summer Series was a huge success! By attending the events, you were an advocate for Big Brothers Big Sisters and helped us Start SomethingTM for the children in our community.  Thank you to our five partner organizations – Young Democrats of Allegheny County, Young Republicans of Allegheny County, Coro Pittsburgh, Young Preservationist Association and Cystic Fibrosis – the more than 100 individuals who attended an event during the series and our four host restaurants – Buffalo Blues, Houlihan’s Pittsburgh, Six Penn Kitchen and Hough’s. A very special thanks to the elected officials who joined us through the series, District Attorney Steve Toprani, State Representative Rick Saccone, State Representative Jesse White, City Councilman Bill Peduto, County Councilman Matt Drozd and County Councilman Ed Kress. We are already looking forward to our 2012 Start Something Summer Series.  If you would like to partner with us or host one of these events, please contact Kristina Elias, Development Associate, at 412.204.1225 or kelias@bbbspgh.org.
