Can You Bowl for Kids Sake?

This year will be our 28th Annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake!  The event will be held on Saturday, March 17 & Sunday, March 18 at Sim’s Lanes in Beaver Falls.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake (BFKS) has been the largest, most successful fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Beaver County.  This two-day event is a chance for everyone to make a difference by raising money to help at-risk children. Donations support our mentoring programs in schools and communities throughout Beaver County.  Proceeds stay here to help our children in our County.

Those interested in bowling at our event can go to www.firstgiving.com/bcbowls to register.  There is still plenty of time to get a team together.  They can also visit www.bcbigs.org/bfks for more information about the event, and tips like how to raise $75 in five days.

A BFKS team includes a team captain and five team members.  Each Full-Time student (High-School or College) must raise a minimum of $50, and adults must raise a minimum of $75.  Every team receives two games of bowling and free shoe rental, as well as free pizza, snacks, and beverages.  They also have numerous chances to win great prizes.  We also provide our bowlers with a commemorative t-shirt.

People can become involved by recruiting five people to start a team of their own.  They can also join a team that is already established.  Our team captains and team members ask family, friends and co-workers to donate online in advance of our event.

Great prizes. Great food. Great fun… All for a Great cause!
