Be Our Guest at the Annual St. Sebastian Parish Festival – July 6-11!

It’s THE place to be for summertime fun!

You know summer’s here when it’s time for the annual St. Sebastian Parish Festival! The sights, sounds and smells of the season are nowhere more evident than at the Festival where friendship, family fun and faith are always on the menu. Scheduled for July 6 – 11 on the church grounds at 311 Siebert Road in Ross Township, the Festival raises money for St. Sebastian School and its numerous parish ministries. The Festival annually draws crowds of over 12,000 parishioners and visitors, and is one of the best and largest in the Diocese. Hours for the Festival are: Monday through Friday, 6:30 -10 p.m. and Saturday, 5-10 p.m. There is no cost for admission.

This year’s Festival boasts new and exciting attractions including a significantly expanded gaming area, new menu items and a children’s area that families will love! Plus there are the many highly anticipated attractions that have drawn visitors for years, including the best organized and merchandised Flea Market anywhere; nightly dinners and multiple food booths serving all your favorites; a raffle for a loaded 2015 Ford Edge provided by Shults Ford; thrilling rides and games for the kids; and a just added “one-price ride-all-night” bracelet, sure to be a big hit with devoted riders! Here’s just some of the new fun that awaits at the St. Sebastian Festival:

  • Luck Be a Lady!

Try your luck in the expanded gaming area. There’ll be nightly bingo, including Super Bingo on July 8, with door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, special cash prizes all night, a $250 mini-jackpot and a “must go” $1,500 jackpot! There’s even preferred seating and more chances to win!

  • Strike a Pose

The digital photo booth will take that “selfie” for you, and email it to you for social media sharing! Visitors can also buy print copies, have them enlarged, or work with the photographer to create a Christmas card. Photos will also be displayed on TV screens around the Festival grounds to share the fun!

  • Bring the Kids!

The perfect place to bring the family is our bigger and better “Kids’ Zone,” where the kids can make their own Silly Putty with the Carnegie Science Center (July 7). There’ll also be numerous games, face painting, clowns, jugglers, and the very popular “KDKA KiDKAst” mobile studio – where kids can record a radio news report for the station and get a link to the story they can listen to and share (July 11). Plus there’s a 6-foot tall teddy bear up for raffle! Great for the kids or grandkids!

  • It Takes Teamwork

Long time parishioner, Mario Grana, reporting to Pastor John Rushofsky, leads the team of hundreds of volunteers who’ve been working since January to stage this major event. “There’s no better way to spend a summer night and share quality time with family and friends,” said Grana. “Most importantly, however, is that the Festival provides essential support to St. Sebastian School and the many vital community service programs the parish has offered since its founding in 1952, and that our community still depends on today.”

Whether you’re looking for great food, games of chance, are in search of the perfect flea market find, or looking for a fun night out with family or friends, you’ll find it at the St. Sebastian Festival July 6-11!
