Variety the Children’s Charity of Pittsburgh helps children with mental and physical disabilities realize the freedom of accessibility, allowing them to develop continuous and sustained social interaction, friendship, and inclusion.
It’s through the generosity of our supporters that Variety can deliver a singular range of medical equipment and services to assist with the specific needs of individual children, across a diverse spectrum of physical and mental conditions.
With the help of dedicated volunteers and generous individual and corporate supporters, Variety is able to enrich the lives of children with special needs through our two core programs:
- Kids on the Go! – provides wheelchairs and other enabling equipment, assistive technology devices and communication systems for children with mental and physical disabilities. We reach those waiting without a voice, those who cannot leave their home, those who so urgently need our help.
- Camp Variety for Kids – a free summer day camp program for children with disabilities and their siblings, ages 6 to 21.
