27th Annual Saint Sebastian Parish Festival July 10-15

It’s THE Place for Summer Fun!

It’ll soon be time again for one of the summer’s best places for friendship, food, fellowship, faith and family fun – the 27th Annual Saint Sebastian Parish Festival in Ross Township – July 10-15! It’s one of the summer’s “must attend” events for families, tots, grandparents, teens – and everyone in between!

Held on the church grounds at 311 Siebert Road in Ross Township, the festival raises much needed funds for Saint Sebastian School and numerous parish ministries, which consistently strive to provide for the “welfare of souls.” The festival annually draws crowds of over 12,000 parishioners and visitors, and is one of the best and largest festivals in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. The Festival runs nightly from 6:30 till 10:00 pm, and from 5:00 to 10:00 pm on Saturday. A complimentary and continual shuttle service will bring patrons to and from the parking lots at the McKnight/Siebert Shopping Center, the McKnight Road post office and from the lower church lot where bingo takes place, to the upper church lot where all the games, rides, specialty food booths, Kids’ Zone and games of chance are located.

This year’s festival boasts exciting attractions including a large gaming area, fantastic food, and a Kids’ Zone created especially for children under eight, that families are sure to enjoy. Plus, there are many favorite attractions that have drawn visitors year after year, including Big Bob’s Famous Ribs – available every night of the festival this year – thrilling rides and plenty of games for visitors of all ages, plus nightly entertainment, local celebrities and much more!

Local sports and media celebrities scheduled to appear include: 1979 Pirates World Series Game 7 winning pitcher, Grant Jackson with Greg Brown, long-time play-by-play announcer for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Kenny the Kangaroo from Kennywood on Tuesday, July 11; Courtney Brennan, news reporter on WPXI-TV (and St. Sebastian grad) and Ronald McDonald on July 12; Paul Martino, KDKA-TV weekend news anchor and reporter, Kelly Brennan, WTAE-TV reporter (and St. Sebastian grad) and Pittsburgh Penguins mascot, Iceburgh, on Thursday, July 13; Pittsburgh Penguins 2009 Stanley Cup team member, former Center #48 Tyler Kennedy with ROOT Sports broadcaster Paul Alexander on Friday, July 14;  and Eat’n Park’s Smiley Cookie and the Cookie Cruiser, on Saturday, July 15.
