Redstone Highlands’ Partners with Goodwill to Provide Employment to Students

Seven High School Students Will be Recognized for Participation in Transition WORKS! Program

Redstone Highlands and Goodwill of Southwestern PA will celebrate the success of its first group of Transition WORKS! high school students during a special event at Redstone’s Greensburg campus. Students, their families, school support staff and teachers, Redstone residents and employees, Goodwill executives and others will join together to recognize the work the students have completed over the past several months. Some will graduate from high school this month, others will continue on with the program and at least one student may join Redstone as a permanent employee following high school graduation.

The Transition WORKS! Program is designed to provide occupational skills training opportunities for youth(ages 16-21) who are experiencing barriers to employment due to disabilities. As a sponsoring employer, Redstone has provided a variety of job opportunities and skills training in its dietary aid and nursing and rehabilitation departments, among others.
