Please join Pennsylvania Women Work and Workforce Development Global Alliance for a Day of Peace - Saturday, July 17, 2010 at West Park on Pittsburgh’s Northside. Families are invited to participate in a community day to avert violence and promote PEACE!
The Day of Peace events will include:
- Peace March – noon
- Peace Concert – 3:00 p.m.
- Vigil – 7:00 p.m.
All participants are asked to wear white and bring a flashlight (in lieu of candles) for the vigil honoring families that have lost loved ones to violence.
This event is a prelude to the Northside Family Connections program that will start in Fall 2010 which will help to build family communications and economic stability—starting Fall 2010.
