On Wednesday, October 14, 2009, the 9th Annual Pennsylvania Women Work Circle of Hope Awards will be held at the Omni William Penn Hotel.
Pennsylvania Women Work! is a strong advocate for educational and economic equity among all people. Over the past two decades, PAWW and its 23 member New Choices programs across the Commonwealth have helped 165,000 women in transition to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Services include:
- career development classes
- skills training
- transportation and childcare assistance
- clothing closets
- individual personal and career counseling
as well as job placement and supported retention. These programs boast a placement rate over 90% in training and employment. PAWW’s holistic approach clearly makes a difference.
The evening will culminate with the presentation of our Circle of Hope Award to Jeffrey S. Broadhurst, President and CEO of Eat ‘n Park Hospitality Group Incorporated. Eat ‘n Park Hospitality Group Incorporated has been a staunch supporter of the mission and work of our organization for the past decade. Its employees have volunteered hundreds of hours to share their expertise with our participants. Three outstanding program graduates will also be honored and will share their stories of triumph.
The event also includes a silent auction and basket raffle with proceeds going to help women and single parents seeking economic self-sufficiency through the dignity of meaningful employment. Stories of real families are available on our website at www.pawomenwork.org. The doors open for this event at 5:45 p.m., the silent auction begins at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 7:15 p.m.
