The Best Yet!
The Seventh Annual, and most successful to date, Run to Break the Cycle, was held on Saturday, August 30, 2008. This sanctioned 5K run/walk on a certified course was both scenic and challenging once again this year. Two hundred and sixty-seven registered participants helped morph the beautiful morning into such a valuable fundraiser for the Women’s Center. The proceeds topped $5,300. Special door prizes were awarded to the youngest and the oldest participants. Every child 12 years of age and younger was presented a commemorative dog tag for participating.
Tim Snyder was the Overall Male Winner with a time of 16:26, making this the fourth time in five years that he has won this event. Jennifer Priest was the Overall Female Winner with a time of 21:01. A complete list of the winners and their times is available on The Runner’s High website, www.runhigh.com. We would like to thank all of our volunteers, Beaver Volunteer Fire Department, staff and all of our sponsors.
