Hi Folks,
This is the official launch of Together We Flourish. My intent is for this to be a place to find help, be of help and learn more about the nonprofit organizations and community projects in Western Pennsylvania.
As you know, today is Labor Day. For most Americans, Labor Day is a day of rest and meant to be somewhat of a celebration of the efforts that we all put forth to improve our lives. There are many men and women who through their jobs, or as volunteers, devote many hours to serving the needs of others. It is with that in mind that I decided that there should be a place online for others to learn about the work that is being done. It seemed only fitting that it should be launched on the day that celebrates effort.
Together We Flourish is intended to be a format for the nonprofit and community organizations in Western Pennsylvania to publish information. This service is FREE to the nonprofit and community project organizations. In addition to sharing the heart of each of their missions they will be submitting various articles in areas such as:
- The services they offer.
- Upcoming fundraisers.
- Successes that have been achieved.
- Volunteer information.
- Wish lists.
It is my hope that this will become a resource for creating a stronger sense of community among the organizations that serve, the people who work and volunteer at those organizations, and the people who might like to start participating in the various missions. I welcome and look forward to any input you may have about ways to improve this blog so please contact me with your input.
